Tuesday was a tough matchup for the Rangers, facing off against the first place Aledo Bearcats. Throughout most of the evening, both teams were evenly match. Chisholm Trail fought hard and maintained a solid back-and-forth with their opponent that resulted in a tie of 26-26 by the end of the third quarter. Sadly, however, Aledo was barely able to worm through the Ranger's solid defense and sneak in a few last minute baskets that won them the game, ending in a 33-47 final score for the home team. However, the loss does little to take away from the stellar performances put on display. Jalen Thomas scored 2 points, Jack Skinner scored 3 points, Omari Johnson scored 7 points, Jesse Mutombo scored 13 points, and K.D. Richardson scored 8 points that set him over the 1000 career points achievement.
The Rangers return Tuesday, Jan. 28th as they head off to Fossil Ridge for a match against the Panthers.
