The Lady Rangers were pitted against a fierce Azle team on Friday night, one that pushed the girls in purple to the edge as they fought through four intense sets over the course of an eventful Senior Night. Starting off with a narrow victory of 25-23 in the first set, Chisholm Trail only improved as the evening progressed, wiening the point gap in the second to 25-20 and keeping the Lady Hornets at a distance in the fourth at 25-22. Angar Arop led the team with 20 kills and recorded a double-double with 12 digs. Audrey Buchanan added 11 kills and 2 blocks, with Elyse Hallmark right on her heels with 8 kills and 1 block. Femke Smits recorded a double-double with 32 assists and 11 digs, Azariah Williams claimed the most digs of the night with 23, and Amelia Drake followed close behind with 18 of her own.
Chisholm Trail looks to keep their momentum running full steam ahead, travelling across town for their second meetup with the Saginaw Rough Riders on Tuesday, October 6th.
