Riding high off their Friday victory against Ponder, the Lady Ranger were eager to take to the home court once more and repeat the process. And repeat, they did, not only triumphing against the visiting Lady Bears but doing so handily with a 3-1 set ratio. Starting off the evening strong with a razor thin win of 27-25, the girls in purple found themselves neck and neck with their opponents by the end of the second. The narrow two-point loss saw them kick it into high gear for the remain of the evening, dominating sets three and four with a 25-23 final score in the former, and the widest point gap of the evening in the finale at 25-21 to secure their second win in a row. Xaihda Johnson came up with some key blocks and kills to shift the momentum at the most opportune of moments. Angar Arop recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs alongside her sister, Achan, also with 12 kills of her own. Audrey Buchanan chalked up 11 kills and three blocks, Femke Smits also secured a double-double with 35 assists and 10 digs, and both Azariah Williams and Giselle Castillo came away with aces, one and three respectively.
Friday, October 2nd, Chisholm Trail is back again on purple turf against the Azle Lady Hornets, looking to make it a three-peat.
