Chisholm Trail wrestlers competed in the Region tournament on Feb. 9-10 at the Thomas Coliseum. The Rangers had five boys compete for a chance to advance to the State Tournament in Houston next week. Despite the tough competition, our wrestlers displayed determination in their matches, scoring a total of 32 team points, twice the amount scored in 2023. Junior Preston Hensley in the 132 weight class, didn't place at Regionals, but his performance throughout the year shows promise. Sophomore Ethan Orat secured two wins in the 120 weight class, junior Nathan Salomon claimed a victory in the 113 weight class and junior Travis Guillot finished sixth in the region. Notably, senior Christian Clark emerged as a State Alternate, marking a significant milestone for Chisholm Trail. He placed fifth in the 215 weight class. Clark advances to the State Wrestling Tournament as an alternate on Feb. 16 at the Berry Center in Cypress, TX.

The Lady Rangers had three wrestlers compete. Hanna Sanchez went 0-2 battling through an injury. Sofia Corona finished with a 1-2 record in a tough weight class. Anaseini secured a 2-2 record and persevered to earn a spot in the Top 6.

Congratulations Rangers!
