The Friday night lights were special last week, illuminating purple turf for the annual, long-awaited homecoming game. Rangers offense was electric the whole night through, led by Keaton Rose, setting a Rangers record of 402 completed passing yards with a 61.4% rate. Xavier Rodriguez chalked up 3 TDs for the boys in purple with 151 yards. Taveon Franklin followed closely with 2TDs and 175 yards. Defensively, the boys were just as strong, holding the line against a persistent Maverick assault. However, their opponents managed to find small gaps in the phalanx that helped them to pull ahead. A last-minute touchdown by the Rangers closed the gap, but left a meager seven point deficit to keep them from stealing the win 45-52
Chisholm Trail opens up district play away from home Friday, September 25th, throwing down the gauntlet against the Azle Hornets.
