Friday night was a hard-fought battle for the Lady Rangers. Hosting district-mate Eagle Mountain, Chisholm Trail was unfortunately unable to find their footing throughout the night. However, consistency was the reward of their persistence. Falling short in the first set by a 4-25 margin, the girls in purple managed to claw their way back into the competition against their opponents, closing the gap 12-25 in the second set and ending off the evening with the closest match of the night at 20-25. Avery Dix led the team with seven kills, Audrey Buchanan hit a .333, and Femke Smits celebrated her career 1000 assists milestone.
The Lady Rangers take the fight on tour Tuesday, September 22nd, as they take on the Argyle Lady Eagles in their first meeting of the season.
