The Lady Ranger clinched victory from the jaws of defeat last night, sparring against the Lady Rough Riders of Saginaw. Traveling across the tracks for their second matchup of the season, it was a windy evening that put both teams to the test in a battle of wills. Chisholm started off on the back foot with the wind in their face, defending their goal viciously and fighting against the breeze to gain the upper hand. Seven minutes in, their opponents cut through the front line and managed to score, putting them up 0-1. The small point gap continues up to half time and into the second half of the game, where the table eventually turned in favor of the girls in purple. With the wind now boosting them down field, the Lady Rangers were able to outflank the defense and steal two goals to put them over the top by the final whistle, ending the evening 2-1.
Friday, March 13th, the Lady Rangers head to Granbury for their final in-season game against the Lady Pirates.
