The Rangers had the honor of playing a fierce matchup against Denton at the illustrious Globe Life Field on Saturday. Both teams were strong on the mound and battled it out with no mercy. Sure-handed in the field, the boys in purple didn't commit a single error, commiting to a strong defense that kept the Broncos in check the entire afternoon. Riley Wade stood strong as the pitcher, recording six outs, while Derrick Hernandez followed him up for four innings, surrendering two hits and zero runs while striking out one and walking none. At the plate, Chisholm was just as strong. Logan Rosales, Jackson Hays, and Adrian Gonzalez collected hits for the team, Rosales and Hays driving in a run to put the boys in purple up two. Unfortunately, the Broncos were a little strong and barely managed to surmount the Rangers by a single run, ending the game in a 2-3 final score.
Chisholm Trail begins district play on Wednesday, March 11th, with their first round against the Azle Hornets.
