The Rangers came out swinging on the Thursday before the surprise break, fighting hard against a strong Brewer team. Competition was fierce through all four quarters, the boys in purple staying close on the leading Bears' heel over the majority of the game. Chisholm rallied in the fourth, managing to cut down the already close point gap of 35-26 to a mere four points, but their opponents managed to find miniscule gaps in the defense that aided them in keeping the top spot. Sadly, the Rangers were unable to make up the difference before the buzzer rang, rounding out the evening with a final score of 36-49. Jesse Mutombo led the evening by racking up ten points , followed closely by Jordan Goree with nine, Josiah Boyd and Jackson Pearce with four , and De'vion Johnson with three.
Back at home on Tuesday, February 3rd, the Rangers look forward to facing off against the Fossil Ridge Panthers.
