Friday was a nail-biter for the Lady Rangers. Going up against their district-mate, Saginaw High School, the girls in purple fought tooth and nail with their opponent to gain the upper hand all evening long. Out of the five extremely close sets that were played, Chisholm Trail secured a win in rounds two and four with final scores of 25-21 and 25-18 respectively. The girls continued to bite at the heels of the visiting team all the way through the tiebreaker, though sadly were unable to pass them in points and bring home the win, finishing the night with a razor-thin loss of 2-3. Emma Nelson lead the team in kills, racking up 13 in all, and added four blocks. Both Abby Hudson and Angar Arop followed closely behind her with 7 kills each, with three aces and one block for the former, and two aces and nine digs for the latter. Assata Howard was the lead in digs, tallying a total of 21, with Tatum Garmon including 18 of her own.
The Lady Rangers are back on their home court for the second time in a row Tuesday, September 30th, for their bout against the Aledo Ladycats.
