The Lady Rangers returned to Chisholm Trail Tuesday after a multi-day tournament in Denton, facing off against a familiar face in the form of Boswell. Sadly, the girls in purple where unable to fully find their rhythm throughout the match, but they fought valiantly and made positive progress every step of the way. Coming off of a rough start with a 6-25 loss in the first match, the Lady Rangers quickly learned from their opponent and began to rapidly catch up in the latter games. Set two ended in a 12-25 final score, and the last bout proved to be the closest with Chisholm Trail closing the point gap by five and putting up a 20-25 total by the last buzzer. Despite the 0-3 setback, the team proved themselves adaptable. The Lady Rangers recorded 7 team blocks in total and, as stated by head coach Janine Smith, "Angar Arop showed promise as a young hitter and as a leader."
Chisholm Trail is away again this Thursday, traveling to Granbury High School for another tournament showdown.
