The overcast Saturday proved to be a tough one for the Rangers as, despite their best efforts, they were unable to find their footing in the matchup against THESA. After a celebration of the seniors and their long stints with the team, their opponents pu themselves up on the board in the first inning with an in-field home run. Chisholm held strong, but THESA steadily and relentlessly chipped away at their defense. Sergio Sias and Luke Givens fought hard on the mound, the first of the duo holding back the visitors with four strikeouts, and everyone had a strong eye at the plate as they piled up eight walks over the course of all nine innings. Sadly, however, they were unable to fully complete the circuit and catch up with THESA, ending in a final score of 2-13.
The Rangers travel to Granbury on Friday, April 25th, to take on the eponymous high school in the last in-season game of the year.
