Sherman High School was the stage for this year's regional powerlifting competition, and the Lady Rangers proved to be the stars of the show. Pulling, as Head Coach Pierre Leonard put it, "amazing numbers", the girls consistently lifted heavy in all of their events and came out the other side with six medals to their names. Caycee Smith and Kayla Harris placed 5th, and Amanda Lewis and Crisly Mumbanda brought home bronze. Top placers for the team were Sydney Wikane and Tatiana Flores, both of whom got silver and qualified for the upcoming state powerlifting meet. Way to go, ladies!
Sydney and Tatianna head to Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg on Saturday, March 15, to compete in the State powerlifting meet. Good luck!
