The Lady Rangers fought a fierce battle against their district-mates at Boswell on Thursday, taking gold after a series of intense bouts that put their skills and mettle to the test. The match against the Pioneers was close, with two injuries and one forfeit due to medical reason, and a tie of 30-30 had to be broken by Criteria F (or least amount of forfeits) which set the girls over the top with a 31-30 final score. Thankfully, this rule was not necessary in the other duels. Anaseini Tupou and Rylee Densmore made pins against their opponents in the fight against the Rough Riders and brought Chisholm to 36-12, and Natalie Garcia and Hailey Aguirre, along with Rylee Densmore again, were able to pull out first period pins that lead their team to a 36-12 victory of the Eagle Mountain Knights. A tough fight all around and a very well deserved win.
The Lady Rangers head to Azle on Thursday, January 30th, for their showdown at the District Meet.
