The Rangers took to the pool against their district-mates on Saturday, racing against Boswell, Saginaw, and Eagle Mountain in the annual Senior Night meet. The boys and girls in purple treaded the lanes easily, pulling their way into a 2nd place overall position for both the mens and womens teams. For the gentlemen, Matt Baez placed 4th individually in the 110 yd breaststroke, dropping .25 for a 1:25.87. Lucas Child achieved two accomplishments by dropping 5.03 seconds in the 200 freestyle and also dropping 24.17 seconds in his second time swimming this event. Zakary Day placed 2nd in the 100 butterfly and Ezra White dropped 5.65 in his 100 breaststroke. On the ladies side of things, Lauren Baez placed 2nd in the 200 freestyle and Elia Dupree placed 2nd in the 100 yd freestyle.
The next meet won't be until the beginning of the new year on Saturday, Jan. 11th, where the Rangers will head to the Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center for the Arlington Heights Winter Invitational.
