On Mar. 16 at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Prunelle Ngilo from Chisholm Trail carved her name in the record books as the first female powerlifter to qualify for the THSWPA State Powerlifting Meet. Each lifter competed in three sets of lifts—squat, bench press, and deadlift—where the total weight determined the winner. She hit a personal record on the squat at 350 lbs. Coach Acton expressed optimism about Ngilo's future, "She has a bright future and looks to return next season and obtain even better things." Congratulations Prunelle on an incredible season!
