The Chisholm Trail girls track and field team hosted the Ranger Invitational on Friday, March 24. Out of six teams, the girls team placed third and the boys team finished second. Both JV teams took third overall. The girls and boys varsity teams had several medalists. Dadrian Calhoun was first in the Triple Jump 46'11" and Long Jump 22'10" followed by Collin Lusk in second place in the Triple Jump 45'6" and Long Jump 22"2". The Rangers took all top three slots in the Long Jump with Omari Johnson coming in third place at 21'4". Hayden Norwich earned first place in the Shotput at 61'8" and Discus at 146'9". Connor Cook was second in the Shotput with a PR of 45'3". The 4x100m relay consisting of Calhoun, Lusk, Jayce Edwards and Jaxon Homes finished in second place. Mikey Cortez finished in third place in the 400m with a time of 52.82. Holmes earned the top spot in the 200m at 22.28 with Calhoun coming in second place at 22.41. In the 1600m Elliott Gonzalez earned second with a PR of 4:37 and Gabriel Rosas was third with a PR of 4:43.

On the varsity girls side top finishers included Madison Watkins with first place in the High Jump at 5'0" and second in the Long Jump at 17'0". Teah Peeni earned second place in the 3200m with a time of 12:41. The 4x100m relay ran a PR of 48.5 for second place. The relay consists of Halen Jones, Anija Simpson, Sydney Allen and Nia Hoyle. The 4x200m relay earned first place with a PR of 1:43.82. Members are Sydney Allen, Mikalette Thompson, Jones and Hoyle. The 4x400m relay consisting of Hoyle, Thompson, Lacie Rusk and Madison Gilmore came in second place at 4:05:18. Thompson was also second in the 200m with a time of 26.40. Simpson and Allen finished first and second in the 100m with times of 12.62 and 12.75.

Both teams will compete in the District 3-6A meet on April 5-6 at Chisholm Trail Ranger Stadium.
