The Chisholm Trail varsity wrestling teams competed in the District 2-6A Wrestling Championships on Saturday, Feb. 4 at Timber Creek High School. The Rangers scored 76 team points and finished 9th overall in the district tournament, an improvement from their placement the previous year. Three boys punched their tickets to the Regional Championships. Sophomore Nathan Salomon (106 weight class); senior Deven Miller (126 weight class); and junior Christian Clark (190 weight class).

The Lady Rangers earned a total of 41 team points finishing 11th overall. Hailey Aguirre and Nadia Starned placed 6th in their brackets. Junior Sofia Corona (126 weight class) and senior Maya Rhoades (165 weight class) placed 4th earning themselves a spot at regionals.

The 6A Region 1 Championships will take place on Feb. 10-11 at the Thomas Coliseum in Haltom. Good luck to all five athletes!
