Chisholm Trail received the opening kick-off, and Kaloso started his big night with a 63-yard run on the Rangers' second play from scrimmage. Crowley answered on the ensuing drive, getting a touchdown to tie the game at 7-7; but the Chisholm Trail offense continued their hot start.
Joey McGowen connected with Gavin Clark for a 23-yard gain and followed that with a 19-yard gain. Kaloso finished the drive with a 31-yard catch and run, following the blocking of Hayden Norwich who pancaked two defenders on the play; into the endzone for the score and the 14-7 lead. Crowley tied the game at 14 on their next drive. After Chisholm Trail punted, the Ranger defense led by Kaleb Dannelley and Dominick Berry stopped Crowley near midfield.
The Rangers took the lead 21-14 near the end of the opening quarter; Kaloso notched his third TD, a 67-yard run behind the blocking of the right guard Hebert Contreras and right tackle Darion Reed that helped spring him.
16 straight points from Crowley in the second quarter gave them the 30-21 lead in the locker room, but the Rangers continued to fight in the second half.
On the Rangers' second drive of the second half; McGowen had a 20-yard run to set up the Rangers inside Crowley territory and opened up the passing game. Kaloso finished the drive with his fourth touchdown of the evening. His fifth touchdown of the night came on their next drive, a 26-yard catch and run.
Kaloso finished the evening with 197 yards on the ground, leading the offense. Defensively, Thad Thames had 12 tackles, while Sebastian Reyes and Cameron Cobbs each had seven tackles.
The Rangers will remain home this week hosting Trinity on Friday, Oct. 14. Kick-off from Ranger Stadium will be at 7:30 p.m.
