Tackling the EMS ISD Dual Meet, the Rangers would have been on fire if it weren't for the pool water. Victories abounded in the ranks of the boys in purple. Cai Allison won both the 50 free and 100 back, Ezra White placed second and third in the 200 freestyle and 100 fly respectively, Lucas Child secured second in the 200 I.M. and first and first in the 500 free, and the combined efforts of Matt Baez, Daylen Jones, Lucas Child, and Cai Allison in the 200 Free Relay brought home another gold medal. They and their teammates eventually chalked up enough wins to be crowned the event winners, taking the top spot on the podium!
The Lady Ranger were right behind them with several wins of the own. Individually, Lydia Morris lead the way with a first place finish in the 200 free, and the fearsome foursome of Sara Hinojo, Harmoni Shorter, Elisabeth Perrin, and Lydia Morris won the 400 Free A Relay. Together, the girls in purple came in second across all events and brought home another silver to add to their collection.
Winter break kicks off next week, but the Ranger return in short order after on Saturday, January 10th, for the Arlington Heights Winter Invitational.
