It was a big couple of days for the Rangers last week, traveling to Rough Rider stadium for the district track & field meet. Over the course of the two days, the guys and gals fought hard in a number of extremely close events, sending several home with qualifications for the upcoming Area meet. Among them include, but are not limited to:
- Harrison House in Shotput (4th place)
- Jordan Freeman in the 100m (4th place)
- Mike Cortez and Clifford Pierre in the 400m (2nd and 4th, respectively)
- Omari Johnson, Timothy Andrews, Derrick Crump, and Jordan Freeman in the 800 relay (3rd place
- Assata Howard in the Triple Jump (2nd place)
- Olesya Padilla in Discus (1st place)
- Halen Jones, Christalyn Dorsey, Kayla Hamburg, and Makayla Crawford in the 4x100 (1st place)
- Marissa Ramirez, Nia Hoyle, Sania Morgan, and Madison Gilmore in the 4x400 (4th place)
These are only a few of the many, many Rangers that stacked up big wins at district, the boys coming in 4th place overall and the ladies being named the district runner-ups.
They will travel to Aledo High School on Friday, April 11th, to compete in the Area track meet.
