Though the conditions were dreary, the Rangers came out in full force against the visiting Granbury Pirates. It was a fierce battle against a very strong opponent. The boys in purple got overtaken in the second inning by the Pirates, putting their first run on the scoreboard 0-1. However, the combined efforts of Riley Wade and Javier Sigala brought home two of their teammates on base, catapulting Chisholm back in the lead where they would remain for the rest of the game. On the mound, Colton Gallardo stared and stood strong through seven innings, giving up only three hits and one run while striking out a total of seven batters.
The boys are off to Granbury's turf on Friday, April 24th, for the last game of district play.
