Chisholm Trail traveled across the tracks on Friday for round two against district-mate, the Saginaw Rough Riders. The boys in purple were riding high off of a hard-fought win against their sister school and came in with the motivation to run it back for another victory. At first, the two teams were neck and neck for four innings, neither able to gain the upper hand over the other's defensive efforts. However, a switched seemed to turn on at the top of the fifth and Chisholm began to stack up the runs. Over the course of a single inning, the Rangers managed to bring 10 runners home and solidify a commanding lead of the field. Riley Wade led the charge by driving in four of his teammates on three hits, with Logan Rosales, Ketcham, Adrian Gonzalez, Derrek Hernandez, and Alejandro Aguilar all bringing in one run each. Rosado commanded the mound for the Rangers, giving up only one run over five innings and striking out eight. Their combined efforts amassed 11 runs in total and brought home the win for the team.
The boys in purple end off the in season with a matchup with the Granbury Pirates on their turf on April 17, 2026.
