This is the 1st season for Coach Henson as the Head Boys and Girls Varsity Golf Coach at Chisholm Trail High School.

The 24-25 school will be Coach Henson’s 18th year as an educator and coach. Previously he spent 7 years in Granbury where he served as the assistant boys and girls golf coach before moving to Eagle Mountain-Saginaw where he was the head boys and girls golf coach at Saginaw High School for 10 years, from 2014 to the spring of last year. During his time coaching, his teams have made trips to the state golf tournament in 8 seasons, he coached 2 regional champion medalists, 1 regional champion team, won 3 district team championships, and coached 8 district medalist champions.

Coach Henson was born in Arlington, Texas. He graduated from Burleson High School in 2002. Coach Henson attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History with Texas Teaching Certificate 8-12 Social Studies and All Level Physical Education.

Coach Henson is an active member in the North Texas High School Golf Coaches Association, the Texas Association of Golf Coaches, and the North Texas PGA.

Coach Henson is married to his wife, Kacie. The couple has two daughters, Lucie (12) and Ellie (10) and a son, Zach Jr. (7).
