Gemma Lappa
Coach Lappa is a 2003 graduate of Dodd City High School and pitched for her State Tournament qualifying team throwing two shutouts and a 1 hit ball game to earn a shot at the State Softball title in 2003. As a Lady Hornet, Coach Lappa excelled on the field and on the court as a 1st team All-State member of the volleyball team, basketball team, softball team, and an undefeated Regional Tennis Champion 3 years in a row. Coach Lappa was a graduate of the University of Arkansas-Monticello in 2008 where she lettered in volleyball, basketball, cross country, golf, and softball. She was named an All-Conference performer in basketball and softball as well as an All-Regional Softball player. After graduating, Coach Lappa coached in a couple of schools in East Texas before settling at Arlington Heights for 8 years and then joining the coaching staff at Marine Creek Middle School and Chisholm Trail High School.
Coach Lappa has been married to her wonderfully supportive husband Jared for almost 10 years and resides here in Fort Worth. They have two sons, Graysen and Xander.
